VIRTUAL LOS ANGELES POLICE DEPARTMENT
THE LOS ANGELES POLICE DEPARTMENT ON PILOT EDGE
The Los Angeles Air Support Unit was established as the LAPD Helicopter Unit in 1956 with one Hiller UH-12C three-seat helicopter. Over the years they have added and removed numerous aircraft from the fleet however today the LAPD fleet consists of mainly H125’s. The Virtual Los Angeles Police Department consists of what the fleet was in December of 2023 which is seventeen H125’s, one single jet ranger 206B that is set to be retired soon, and a single Bell 412EP used for special missions. The mission of the Virtual Los Angeles Police Department is to accurately simulate the roles and responsibilities of the Air Support Unit of the Los Angeles Police Department. All officers are trained to fly to a professional standard on Pilot Edge
